12 August 2018 Wesley Impact! TV

Today’s special episode is part one of an insightful clip of Rev Keith Garner in the Galilee and Rebekah Cowie performs I Am Yours.

Galilee - How Jesus calls people

The most recent feature documentary title is The Man of Galilee.

This is a six part series looking at the impact of the life and ministry of Jesus Christ, considering the question that those present in the first century asked of Jesus, and encouraging us to consider the questions that we ask of Jesus today.

"In this episode, I’d like to show you an excerpt from Episode 2. This is a segment in the series which sets the context of the first century and the area in which Jesus lived. We look at who Jesus called to follow him and how he called people."

Guest performer: Rebekah Cowie

The song I Am Yours has themes about our worth as children of God is the opening track of Lauren Daigle's debut EP, How Can It Be released in 2014.

Keith's message: Bread as the metaphor for Heaven

In today's show Rev Keith reads from John 6:41-51 exploring Bread as the metaphor for Heaven and Christs death and resurrection.

We put our reading into the context of v.35. Those who come to Him will never hunger or thirst again after being fed by Jesus Christ. The O.T. tells us that when people ate of the manna God provided in the wilderness they still hungered, but this was not the case for those who ate of the Bread of Heaven.

At this the Jews there began to grumble about him because he said, ‘I am the bread that came down from heaven.’ 42 They said, ‘Is this not Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? How can he now say, “I came down from heaven”? 43 ‘Stop grumbling among yourselves,’ Jesus answered. 44 ‘No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws them, and I will raise them up at the last day.
