The Rev Dr Keith Garner explores the theme of Advent as he looks at the Parable of the Ten Virgins in Matthew 25. In exploring Jesus’ message to the religious leaders of his day and to his disciples, we see that we are also advised to be ready at all times for him to return. This also involves being willing to live out our Christian faith in all its fullness, even when it involves risk, and taking seriously the prospect of God’s judgement of the world.
