In this end of year staff service we take stock of the year that has passed and reflect on four key insights which make up the identity of Wesley Mission. In this sermon we look at the heart and soul of a unified mission which includes a dedication to the knowledge that: we refuse to allow ourselves to be divided; we practice a religion of the heart that is genuine and filled with compassion; we cannot live outside the dictum that we must go to those who need us most; and we are convinced of a whole Gospel for the whole world. Tonight as we celebrate another year of service, we take hold of all that we do and offer it afresh to God. We are left with the ultimate reflection that if we have no joy, we miss the very heart of the Gospel and our service to those in need will never reach its highest potential.
