Rev Keith Garner reflects on Jesus’s parable to the Pharisees on The Good Shepherd and His Sheep. Jesus uses a sheep pen to illustrate that, while thieves and robbers may climb the fence, the sheep will not trust them,; they will only trust their shepherd, who comes through the gate. The pharisees were at first confused, but Jesus tells them that He is the gate for the sheep. The sheep will listen to Him, and He is the gate in which all must walk through in order to be saved. He tells that ‘the thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.’
