As the Rev Dr Rick Dacey explores what it means for Christians to bear fruit, we learn that while this fruit-bearing is essential in the living out of our faith, it cannot be manufactured. Rather, bearing this fruit is a natural outcome of our connection to the true vine, Jesus Christ. We must also prepare to be pruned and to bear fruit for the good of others. With this in mind, we consider the work happening in Wesley Congregational Life as a being like a trellis for the work of Jesus Christ and a place where the people of the church, the branches, can bear fruit in the heart of the city.
