By Rev Dr Keith Garner

The Rev Dr Keith Garner looks at the crossing of the Red Sea and offers perspectives on what these events might mean for us today in our difficult times. Just as the Israelites had God at their rear flank, so we too can trust that the same God who delivered them from the Egyptian army is present with us. By embracing this presence and  the salvation offered us in Jesus, rather than giving in to fear and negativity, we can be confident that God will use us in his saving work. Whatever our human need, God has answered it in the biblical message of salvation, and as he leads us onwards, he will also draw us near.
