As the Rev Dr Keith Garner explores Jesus’ prediction of his death, he considers the meaning of discipleship and both the transformation and the cost that this could bring if we let the gospel fill our lives as it did the early disciples. We find that as Christ lives in us, the way to self-fulfilment is also the way to self-denial. As we decide to follow Christ and his way, regardless of what we may suffer, we join others around the world who are also called to be ‘graduates’ in Christ’s ‘school’ of discipleship.
