By Rev Dr Rick Dacey

On this Palm Sunday, the Rev Dr Rick Dacey explores the account of Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem, at which he was hailed King. On this dramatic day of contrasts, we consider the joyful shouts of praise and then Jesus’ tears for a city that refused to recognise God’s presence among them. When Jesus didn’t meet their expectations of further displays of power, cries of praise turned to the cry of ‘Crucify!’. As we remember this day, we reflect anew on the new way of life Jesus has called us to, and the brokenness he dealt with at the cross.
