We also offer suicide awareness and prevention training for family, friends and referring services.

Working with you we can provide up to 14 weeks of care, the option of a support group and connect you with flexible community-based support services to improve your wellbeing.

To be eligible, you must:

  • be 18 years or older
  • live in the Coffs Harbour Local Government Area
  • not currently be supported by another suicide aftercare service
  • be experiencing suicidal distress or self-harm behaviour.

Wesley LifeForce Aftercare is not a crisis or counselling service.

Many of us notice changes in people around us. But when you feel something ‘isn’t right’ sometimes, it’s hard to know what to do.

You may not want to say anything for fear of making the situation worse or because you don’t know what to do if they confirm your concerns.

While these conversations can be difficult, there’s a lot you can do to help.

By talking to the person and getting more information, you can help them access the support they need.

However, caring for others sometimes means we also need support for ourselves. Remember to take some time out for your own wellbeing and do something that brings you joy.

We can provide information and resources to help family, friends and carers through regular support groups and training opportunities.
