Faith in action
Serving others, particularly those most in need, is a vital expression of our faith. We are engaged in a “Word and deed” ministry, with a strong commitment to sharing the Word of Jesus Christ while following His example of compassion and service to others.
We are grounded in a belief that every life matters and that faith, by itself, without works, is not true faith.
James 2:14–23 says: “What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if people claim to have faith but have no deeds? Can such faith save them? Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to them, ‘Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,’ but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead…As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead.”
Charlotte began visiting Wesley Connect after escaping domestic violence and in the midst of a custody battle. Here she found both practical support and wise counsel. Read Charlotte’s full story of how she was assisted by Wesley Connect.
