Steps to admission at Wesley Hospitals
Step 1: Consider your options to pay for your treatment
Admission into Wesley Hospital is available to patients with private health insurance or those who can fund their treatment by other means.
As a private hospital, we are able to arrange payment through your private health insurance. However, if you don’t have private health insurance, then you may wish to consider our other treatment payment options. Read more to find a treatment payment option plan to suit you.
Step 2: Obtain a referral
You can get a referral through your general practitioner (GP) or psychiatrist. If you don’t have a GP or psychiatrist already, we can arrange for one of our psychiatrists to assess you and submit our patient referral form. Please contact our reception staff on 1300 924 522 to arrange an appointment.
Step 3: Make an appointment with us
Call us to arrange a pre-admission phone assessment with one of our experienced admission staff.
Alternatively, complete the admission enquiry form and one of our admission staff will be in touch with you.
Step 4: Pre-admission assessment
One of our admission staff will assess you and discuss the best treatment plan for you. They will also arrange your admission date and treating psychiatrist.
Step 5: Day of admission
Admission as an inpatient
Wesley Hospital provides hospital stay services if you need 24-hour hospital care. On the day of your admission as an inpatient, our admissions nurse will meet you at reception and will take you through any paperwork and get you settled into your room.
